Devils Daily: Coaching Carousel Reaction; Roy in on Long Island

The New York Islanders didn’t surprise anyone when they fired Lane Lambert as their head coach. They did, however, shock the hockey world when they hired Patrick Roy to take his place. The New Jersey Devils’ head coach reacted to that change within the Metropolitan Division.



Speaking of the Isles, the reason for the change is because they needed a swift kick in the behind. They hired the right guy for that job.

Elsewhere, what’s the fallout of Pittsburgh’s decision on Jake Guentzel? Boston’s Grzelcyk knows where he wants to remain, and San Jose’s third jersey sees a few more leaks.
