Devils Daily: Mercer Staying Put; Blue Jackets-Penguins Trade; NHL Trade Talk
The New Jersey Devils will be off today before their busy weekend hosting back-to-back games.
The NHL Trade Deadline is swiftly approaching. One name that keeps coming up in trade scenarios is Dawson Mercer. However, according to an insider, it seems unlikely.
In other news, the Devils revealed their first-ever jersey patch partner.
Elsewhere, so much NHL trade discussion such as Colorado needing help down the middle, is Boston back to trading a goaltender, and Pittsburgh is gambling following a Devils-Penguins trade.

New Jersey Hockey Now: According to a report that’s surfaced, the Devils have turned down any trade offers that involve Dawson Mercer to this point.

NHL.com: The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired left wing Alex Nylander and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for right wing Emil Bemstrom.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: GM Kyle Dubas pulled a small Penguins trade that could be a steal, or it could be quite costly. Dubas rolled the dice on a conditional draft pick that might further deplete the draft stock. (+)
