Another eventful Saturday across the National Hockey League has come and gone and with that, plenty to discuss. While the New Jersey Devils stayed perfect at home, the folks across the Hudson are dealing with… let’s just say a bit of the inverse. Also, we’ll touch on a late-game implosion in St Louis you’d have to see to believe.

The Devils continued their torrid start to the season yesterday, defeating the Penguins 2-1 in a shootout. Despite a cartoonish list of injuries, New Jersey is 11-4-0, first in the Metropolitan Division, and 7-0 on home ice. While Devils fans got to enjoy another thrilling finish on home ice, it’s a different story across the Hudson River…

NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

Forever Blueshirts: The Rangers have a home-ice streak of their own to start 24-25. However… it’s a tad more dubious. Inexplicably, indescribably, the Blueshirts were shut out at Madison Square Garden for the 5th time in 7 games this season last night, and the Islanders secured their first win at MSG in three years. As if things weren’t bad enough, Jacob Trouba also scored the overtime winner in Las Vegas late last night for the Ducks. Goodness gracious.

Seattle Hockey Now: In the evening’s most thrilling affair, the Kraken stormed back to defeat the St Louis Blues, 4-3 in overtime. It was another gut-punch loss for St Louis, as Chandler Stephenson beat the buzzer to tie the game for Seattle, before Shane Wright won it in overtime. With the Blues now at 5-8-3, it might be time to ask some tough questions in St Louis.
