NJHN Daily: Devils Future in Goal; Daws to Vegas? Penguins, Karlsson Trade Talk
We are officially in the dog days of summer. By way of news, there has been little to none in terms of anything new with the New Jersey Devils actually transpiring. However, last week we laid out the idea of Nico Daws being traded. This week, one of my National Hockey Now colleagues agreed that one of the destinations chosen is a legitimate possibility. More on that in the links.
The reason why Daws is a trade candidate is because his short and long-term windows with the Devils seem to be closed. It’s to no fault of his own. He has the makings of an NHL goaltender. However, the Devils have commitments in both of those windows, and it seems like the future in goal is in Mikhail Yegorov’s hands. More on the happiest person in the Devils’ pipeline below.
