There’s probably going to be a lot written about Marco Rossi across the landscape of NHL media until the Minnesota Wild forward is ultimately traded. We already dabbled in that (linked below), naming Rossi as a fit for the New Jersey Devils by way of offer sheet. However, there’s a number of teams in the Metropolitan Division he fits on well.

More on that linked as well.

NHL.com: Team Switzerland is making a statement at the 2025 IIHF World Championships. Even crazier is they’re doing it without the likes of Nico Hischier who was injured in the tournament. However, fellow Devil Timo Meier is dominating in the captain’s absence, leading the Swiss to a 10-goal victory on Sunday.

NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Pittsburgh Penguins’ trade acquisitions this season were names that rightfully didn’t generate much excitement. Salary dumps, spare parts, and second chances rather than established veterans with predictable production comprise general manager Kyle Dubas’s transaction list. The Pens GM must upgrade his trade targets list.

Florida Hockey Now: Brad Marchand grew up a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. However, he helped eliminate his childhood favorite team on Sunday in an ugly Game 7 for the Florida Panthers opponent.

Vegas Hockey Now: As opposed to what many believe the Maple Leafs should do, Hannah Kirkell explains why the Vegas Golden Knights, despite their aging roster and lack of prospects, should not blow things up.

The Athletic ($): Speaking of, Jonas Siegel says the Shanaplan failed. Here’s why the Maple Leafs need to move on from the Core Four.

Forever Blueshirts: One of Mike Sullivan’s greatest challenges as the new head coach of the New York Rangers? Resurrecting Mika Zibanejad.

Bleacher Report: Marco Rossi is one of the hottest names on the NHL trade rumor mill. So where will the Minnesota Wild forward land—if he’s traded at all? Of five potential landing spots, three of them named are within the Metropolitan Division.

If Rossi doesn’t end up on the move via trade, he’s a perfect offer sheet candidate for the Devils.
