New Jersey Devils 2025 Stanley Cup Odds Revealed

Despite the 2024 Stanley Cup Final beginning on Saturday, June 8th in Sunrise, Florida between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, the odds for the 2025 Stanley Cup Champions have already been revealed. Apparently, the oddsmakers believe the 2023-24 season for the New Jersey Devils was an anomaly as they were given odds to win the cup that are likely higher than most would expect.

According to Fanduel, the first sportsbook to evidently reveal Stanley Cup odds, the Devils are +1200 to win the Stanley Cup in 2025.

The plus-1200 odds rank the Devils with the fourth-best, sixth-ranked odds to hoist the cup next summer.

In fact, the Devils are just behind the Eastern Conference Champions who are playing for the championship starting this weekend, the Panthers, who are +1000. The Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche, and Dallas Stars are in a three-way tie with +950 odds, and the Oilers top the list as the favorite to win the 2025 Stanley Cup at +900.

Despite missing the playoffs in 2024, the Devils rank ahead of the New York Rangers who just bowed out in six games to the Panthers in the Eastern Conference Final. The Rangers’ Stanley Cup odds in 2025 are +1300, sitting behind the Vegas Golden Knights who are tied with the Devils at plus-1200 odds.

Perhaps the newly hired Sheldon Keefe is a factor in the Devils’ surprising 2025 Stanley Cup odds. Keefe hasn’t missed the postseason in the first four-plus years of his NHL coaching career and has quite an impressive coaching resume at all levels.

You also have to wonder if the oddsmakers accounted for the Devils’ goaltending improving with Jacob Markstrom and anticipate the defensive situation to improve, which will only benefit a core offensive group that consists of Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, and Timo Meier.
